Shenzhen, China (October 30, 2013): A ten year bilateral Strategic Cooperation Partnership Agreement was signed between the Global Security Industry Alliance (GSIA) and Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center (XICEC) during the 14th China Public Security Expo (CPSE) show. Located in the north west region of China along the ancient Silk Road, Xinjiang is traditionally an agricultural region but also treasures large deposits of minerals and oil therefore, extending its nominal GDP at approximately 657.4 billion RMB in 2012. “It’s a very exciting moment for us to witness the very successful CPSE show and right here we win the cooperation agreement with the GSIA which will bring us the same opportunities for the security industry development in Xinjiang. With our unique natural resources and geographical advantages of vast land reserves that borders eight countries making this region in high demand of more security technologies, security products and relevant service supports.” said Xinjiang CPC Chief, Mr. Yan. “This is a significant day for GSIA and for the future of the security market in Xinjiang. I could not be more excited by this strategic partnership as it not only focuses on the new market opportunities that exist for the global security industry in this historical trading zone, but also serves as a platform where foreign security industry professionals will come to network and present ideas on ways to cultivate the growth of a global security community.” said Mr. Richard Chace, Chairman of the GSIA. The Xinjiang Exhibition Center covers an area of 8,000 square meter that can showcase the most innovative and elite police equipment and security products. Local government attaches great importance to Xinjiang security exhibition, which is regarded to be the largest, most professional security industry event in Northwest China due to its proximity to other neighboring nations. GSIA will help to strengthen the development of this region by providing an impetus for communication and trilateral study between the province, mainland China and international security industry. It will also provide technology and service support to the local security authorities opening a portal into the Middle East market by helping the local industry to grow stronger so it can provide better service for building a safe and peaceful border city.
