Shenzhen, China (December 8, 2013): Representatives from the Global Security Industry Alliance (GSIA) attended the California Alarm Association’s (CAA) 2013 Winter Conference and presented them with a GSIA plaque, officially announcing the membership of CAA as a new Alliance Member. The California Alarm Association (CAA) is a statewide not-for-profit trade association representing installation companies and product and service providers in the electronic security industry in California. The CAA membership comprises approximately 70% of the market for burglar and fire alarms, access control and CCTV in the state. The CAA is a state chapter of the Electronic Security Association (ESA). “The work we do to enhance public safety and security is universally acknowledged and our association with GSIA will only increase our professional and personal development, “said Bob Michel of Valley Alarm in Los Angeles, CA and President of the California Alarm Association. “We look forward to participating with other members of GSIA who share a common mission.” “The CAA has long been a pillar of the US security industry and indeed it was where many of the industry’s luminaries over the past 40 years all got their start, “said Richard Chace, Chairman of the GSIA. “You cannot talk about the US Security market without talking about CAA. It is a truism that when talking about markets you can say ‘all markets are local markets’ and if you want to truly know a market you look at its local roots. The CAA, through its leadership and membership, continue to look for ways to grow their industry and hopefully this new strategic partnership with GSIA and access to its global network of 250,000 security professionals will become a valuable business resource for CAA moving forward.” The GSIA global network focuses on connecting industry experts and alliance members so they can share information on the state of the security industry as well as provide members with opportunities to meet peers from all over the world. Since many global security associations and government clients have approached GSIA, it plans on exploring conference venues in the Americas, Asia and Africa in the coming year on the issues, which are meaningful to the members and their businesses. GSIA Alliance Members and Strategic Partners operate together to organize and maintain an international resource network focusing on enhancing industry information exchange and the advancement of the global security community.
