ASSA-I, or Aviation Security Services Association – International is a non-profit association, composed of the most important private security companies providing security services for airports and airlines.
ASSA-I (formerly known as EASA, European Aviation Security Association) was founded in June 2002 in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Through its establishment, the founding companies’ aimed at giving the aviation security industry a single voice in the ongoing debate with regard to aviation security as well as guaranteeing the enduring professionalism and quality of the services providers.
